SAPERE provides training in philosophical enquiry and supports a growing network of P4C trainers and practitioners across the UK. SAPERE co-ordinates three levels of validated P4C training, INSET and support, conferences, projects, networking, research and resources.

Philosophy for Children / Communities aims to encourage children (or adults) to think critically, caringly, creatively and collaboratively. It helps teachers to build a 'community of enquiry' where participants create and enquire into their own questions, and 'learn how to learn' in the process.

P4C is most effective when it becomes part of a whole school approach to learning and the Level 1 course provides the introductory training to become a P4C teacher.

SAPERE has established quality assurance for its validated courses and training provision and the feedback that we receive from local education authorities, head teachers, teachers, parents and children is consistently excellent.
