Grace is a philosopher who works in schools, communities and businesses as well as universities. As a teacher, facilitator, trainer, mentor, consultant, writer and presenter, she loves philosophy and loves working philosophically with new people.
She founded Thinking Space in 2008 and has since worked with thousands of children, young people and adults across the UK and abroad. She’s supported teachers in nursery, primary, secondary, further and higher education to develop philosophical enquiry in their setting. She’s also worked with a range of other practitioners from theatre-makers to museum-curators to explore the potential of philosophical enquiry in their work.
She is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Leeds where in 2012 she set up ‘Leeds Philosophy Exchange‘ a philosophy for children module. She’s also the author of Creative Philosophical Enquiry: Twelve Tools for Talking and Thinking.
Grace has a BA and MA in Philosophy and is currently studying for a doctorate in Philosophy of Education.
