SAPERE's partnerships with schools are formed through our ‘Going for Gold’ whole school training programme to embed and sustain P4C and the SAPERE P4C School Awards. We provide training for 3000+ teachers each year provided by 65 registered SAPERE trainers plus conferences, seminars, and trainer professional development.
SAPERE has collaborated with, and been supported by, many partner organisations including: Oxfam, the National Union of Teachers, the Living Earth Foundation, the Shine Trust, Antidote (the campaign for emotional literacy) Save the Children and Age Concern, as well as fostering international links with Europe and other continents. These partnerships have given rise to the use of P4C with faith and multi-faith groups, prisoners and young offenders, organisations addressing global citizenship, inter-generational and local community groups. This has resulted in significant Community Philosophy development with a project for 60 community groups over 2 years, funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
SAPERE has also formed many partnerships with teacher training and philosophy departments at UK universities and with teaching schools.
