Work for SAPERE P4C

Going for Gold Project Manager

Closing date: Tuesday 11 June 2019, 5pm
Interviews: Monday 17 June 2019

SAPERE is the national charity that supports schools to facilitate Philosophy for Children (P4C) enquiries.

We have created a new post to help us build on the success of our flagship Going for Gold programme. Going for Gold (GfG) enables schools to embed P4C across the whole school, establishing a P4C ethos and achieving our awards along the way.

We want someone to take responsibility for the whole programme from sales, marketing and project admin to relationship building and research. You will build relationships with schools and our trainers, visit schools to see children participating in P4C, and carry out all the programme administration.

This is an exciting new role for an ambitious and motivated third sector professional or someone who wants to move into the third sector, perhaps with an education background.

If you want to help us harness the power of P4C to transform children’s educational and social experiences, have a can-do attitude, are detail-focussed and keen to develop a range of skills from budgeting to databases and event organising to marketing, this is the role for you.

This is a full-time role. Some travel within the UK to visit schools will be required.

For more information, please see the full job description and person specification

SAPERE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Appropriate checks will be required before appointment.

We recognise the contribution that ex-offenders can make as employees and volunteers and welcome applications from them. Further information can be found in our policy on recruiting applicants with criminal records .

To apply, please complete and return the application form, equal opportunities monitoring form and criminal record form by email to debbieluther@sapere.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 11 June 2019.

Please contact Debbie Luther on 01865 408333 or debbieluther@sapere.org.uk if you have any questions about the role or the application process.
